APMAS has its head office in Hyderabad and three regional offices are located in the districts of Ananthapur, Chittoor and Nizamabad.
In addition, two DLRC offices have been established in Adilabad & Kadapa districts.
Within Andhra Pradesh, APMAS works in 8 districts (Ananthapur,
Chittoor, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Kadapa, Kurnool, Mahaboobnagar, RangaReddy) and 3 towns (Guntakal, LB Nagar, Gudiwada).
Each
location has at least two professionals providing Capacity Building, mentoring and other support services. In the remaining districts of
Andhra Pradesh, APMAS provides need-based and demand based services.
APMAS works to support the SHG movement in various States across India. Drawing
inspiration from the commendable contribution APMAS has made in strengthening the SHG movemnt, several
APMAS-type institutions are now being created to support SHGs accross India. The State Governments of Madhya Pradesh,
Rajasthan, Orissa, West Bengal and Maharashtra are working along with donors and NGOs to promote SHG support
institutions with assistance from APMAS. In these States,the key role of APMAS has been to serve as an
incubator and mentor, equiping and providing the building institutions with the necessary support needed to
strengthen and promote the SHG movement.
APMAS, thus provides intensive support to Andhra Pradesh
and as a part of its AKF SCALE project, National Network of Resource Organisations (NNRO) and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust funding, reaches
out to the States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Bihar and West Bengal. Extensive support is also being
provided to Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Jharkhand, Uttarkhand, Chhattisagarh and Assam. The
remaining States of India are served by APMAS on a needs basis.
