The course is appropriate for personnel associated with the promotion of livelihoods or planning to design livelihood intervention around SHG federations. Usually the number of participants is restricted to 20.

The program will be pivoted around conceptual clarity related to livelihoods, frameworks and elements involved in livelihood intervention design and management and institutional mechanisms for successful interventions.  Combination of Interactive Lectures, Group Discussions, and Reflective Sessions and field visits are incorporated for the training. Program would include three days of classroom sessions, followed by two days field visits and two days of classroom session. As the course will focus on approaches of livelihood promotion, frameworks, elements in design, support and management of various intervention .
